Our experienced, registered dental hygienists will be the first staff members you will see. They will take necessary x-rays, review paperwork, and answer any questions that you may have. A dental exam, an oral cancer screening, and a periodontal assessment will be performed. The dental hygienist will then perform a dental cleaning if you don’t have extensive dental needs like tartar removal (ask us about tartar prevention). Once the cleaning is done, our experienced dentists will then come and evaluate the x-rays (radiographs), review the periodontal exam, perform an in-depth dental exam, and answer any questions that you may have. Drs. Norton will also discuss treatment options available. Additionally, should you ever need a nearby emergency dentist, our team is available to provide urgent care when needed.
Please bring these important documents:
- Medical or dental insurance cards
- A list of medications that you are currently taking
- Patient Forms (these are available to download on our website)
- Any current x-rays (within 6 months) from your previous dentist. You can have them forward them to our office via mail or email.
Please have your parent or guardian come with you to your first visit if you are under the age of 18 years old.
If you have any concerning medical conditions, please alert our office before your dental cleaning or dental surgery. Some of these conditions can include joint replacement within the past 6 months, high blood pressure, diabetes, artificial heart valves, rheumatic fever etc. Please let our office know if you are on any medications such as heart medications, anticoagulant therapy, aspirin etc. or if you require any medication prior to dental cleanings such as antibiotics for premedication. Patients seeking advanced care like laser dentistry near me often benefit from discussing their medical history with our team to ensure the safest and most effective treatment options.
